A voice assistant that lives in a notch.

Nabra hangs at the top of your Windows screen. Say it out loud: open apps, set timers, keep your to-do list, play your music, dictate anywhere. Nabra is Arabic for the tone of your voice: you speak, it answers back.

01 · Try it

The real Nabra, running right here. Play with it.

This desktop is pretend, but the notch is Nabra's own interface with sample data. Hover it, click it, hold it to move it, or pick a part on the left and watch it work.

02 · What it does

Everything you reach for, at the top of your screen.

Hold two keys and talk

Open apps, set timers, change the volume, ask a question. The everyday things work without any AI at all.

Dictate anywhere

Hold Ctrl + Win and talk. Nabra types it into whatever you're writing in. Connect an AI and it tidies the ums away too.

Circle it, ask it

Draw around anything on your screen and ask about it. It uses the AI you connect.

A clipboard that remembers

Everything you copy, searchable, plus files you keep. Drag any of it into another app.

Pin it beside your work

Your to-do list or timer becomes a small card that stays on top while you work.

Your games and wallpapers, one click away

Your Steam and Epic library, Wallpaper Engine and your own pictures, each a tab away from the notch.

A day with Nabra

It doesn't live in a window. It waits at the top, all day.

Open Outlook and play my focus playlist

Two things, one sentence. Over a full window the notch shrinks to a thin line and never takes your keyboard.

Hey team, the beta is ready for Friday

Hold two keys and talk. Nabra types it into whatever you're writing in, and with an AI connected it tidies the ums away.

What's this error?

Circle anything on your screen and ask about it. The answer appears under the notch and is read to you.

Add stretch to my to-do list

A little card confirms it, then gets out of the way. Pin your to-do list beside your work if you like.

03 · Trust

Quiet by design.

Your things stay on your PC

Clipboard, to-do list, calendar and settings live in your own Windows account. Your voice is turned into text on your computer and never uploaded. Only the questions you ask an AI go to the AI you chose. The full list is in the privacy notes.

Out of your way

Over a game the notch hides completely and your volume keys go back to Windows. Over a full window it's a thin line that waits before opening.

Your AI, or none at all

Everyday requests work without any AI. Add your own API key (Gemini, Claude, OpenAI and more) or let Nabra set up a free private AI on your own PC (it needs about 8 GB of RAM).

The story

It started as a personal project.

Nabra began as something I built for my own Windows PC: a small notch at the top of the screen that I could just talk to, instead of hunting through menus and windows.

Testers tried it, told me what confused them, and I kept taking things away until it felt quiet and obvious. It is still made and looked after by one person, so when something doesn't work on your PC, I want to hear about it: support@trynabra.com.

Made with care, for people who like their screen calm.

05 · Questions

Good to know.

Do I pay again for updates?

No. Every future update is free, forever. You pay once and Nabra is yours.

Do I need an AI?

No. Timers, volume, opening apps, your to-do list, searching and more all work by themselves. If you want Nabra to answer open questions, paste your own API key (Gemini, Claude, OpenAI and others) or let it set up a free private AI on your PC (about 8 GB of RAM).

Is my voice uploaded?

No. Speech is turned into text on your own computer and never uploaded. Only the questions you ask an AI go to the AI you chose.

Which version of Windows?

Windows 10 and Windows 11.

How does the licence work?

You get one licence code by email. It runs Nabra on one Windows PC, and it's yours forever. You enter it the first time you start Nabra. Nabra checks it with our server every few days, and keeps working offline for up to 14 days in between.

Will it get in the way when I work or play?

No. Over a maximised window the notch shrinks to a thin line, and over a full-screen game it hides and your volume keys go back to Windows.

Which language does it speak?

Nabra understands English and Arabic. Its own voice speaks English; Arabic replies use your Windows voice.

Will Windows warn me when I install it?

Possibly. Nabra isn't code-signed yet, so Windows may show a SmartScreen warning the first time you run the installer.

Why is it called Nabra?

نبرة (nabra) is Arabic for the tone of your voice. Nabra is built around your voice: you speak, and it answers back.

06 · The small print

Terms and privacy, in plain words.

The short version. Everything here matches how Nabra really works.

Buying and your licence

Nabra is a one-time purchase. After you pay you get a licence code by email. It lets you install and use Nabra on one Windows PC that you own or control, for your own use, and it is yours forever.

Your licence ends only if you break the agreement (for example by sharing or reselling your code, or getting around the licence check), or when you uninstall Nabra. Nabra checks your licence with our server every few days and keeps working offline for up to 14 days in between.

Payments and tax are handled by the store checkout. We receive your email, name and purchase details to send your code and handle refunds, and never your full card details.

Updates are free, forever

Every future update to Nabra is included in your one-time purchase, for the life of the product. Updates download automatically and install by themselves when your PC is idle, and some may be needed to keep Nabra working.

Refunds

You can ask for a refund within 14 days of buying, for any reason, and we won't ask you to explain. Email support@trynabra.com with your order number. After a refund your code is switched off. This doesn't affect your legal rights as a consumer where you live.

What you agree to

Don't copy, share, sell or rent Nabra or your code, don't get around the licence check, and don't take Nabra apart except where the law lets you. Don't use it to break the law or the terms of the AI services it connects to.

Nabra is licensed, not sold, and the name, logo and look stay ours. It's provided as it is, with no warranty beyond your legal rights, and our liability is limited to what you paid.

Nabra's AI can make mistakes, so check anything important. Nabra can act on your PC when you ask it to, such as moving files, closing apps or shutting down. By default it asks before anything risky, and you're responsible for what you approve. Keep backups of what matters.

Some features use services run by others (an AI provider, weather, web search). Using them means you also accept their terms, and if you use your own API key you are responsible for your account with that provider. Nabra also includes open-source software, each part under its own licence.

Privacy: what we collect and what leaves your PC

We don't sell anything about you, and there's no advertising or tracking. Nabra keeps your things on your PC, and information only leaves it when a feature needs an online service, and only goes to that service.

Stays on your PC, never sent to us

  • Your settings, including any API keys you paste in.
  • Clipboard history, to-do list, notes, calendar events you add, and things you ask Nabra to remember. Content that apps mark as private, such as password managers, isn't recorded.
  • A log file for troubleshooting.
  • Your voice: it is turned into text on your PC and the recording isn't kept.

Sent to our licence server (run on Cloudflare)

  • Your licence code, a device identifier (a one-way code made from Windows' machine ID, which can't be turned back into anything about you) and the Nabra version, when Nabra starts and every few hours, and for update checks.
  • Feature counts, such as "timer: 4". Never what you say, type, copy, open or ask. You can switch this off in Settings, under Privacy and safety.
  • A problem report, only when you press Send, and you can see exactly what goes in it first.

Sent to other services, only when you use the feature

  • AI: what you ask, your recent conversation, any screen area you select, and results of tools the AI uses for you, go to the AI provider you chose. Choose "On this PC" and none of it leaves your computer. On a free Google Gemini key, Google may use what you send to improve its products; Nabra warns you about this.
  • Weather: the city you entered goes to Open-Meteo. If you set none, your internet address is used once a week to guess your city, through ipwho.is or ipapi.co.
  • Games tab: a Steam game's number goes to Steam's image server to fetch its cover.
  • Web search and reading pages when the AI does it for you; a calendar link you add; and the voice files (about 120 MB) downloaded once from GitHub on first start. Spoken replies are made on your PC.

Each of those services handles information under its own privacy policy. Nabra isn't directed at children under 13.
